Beginning June 1, 2026, due to the fluctuating costs of fuel, freight, tooling, and the rapid increase of raw materials (powder, primers, and brass), items within our product lines, including blank ammunition, will see an increase of 3%-5%. This is the first significant increase in over two years and is simply unavoidable given the current market climate. We appreciate those who have come to rely on us for their blank ammunition, firearms, and various effects needs and we will do our best to find ways to lessen the impact as we move through our thirty-third year in business.
March 2026: Where did .22LR blanks go?
To be honest, the .22LR blank is a challenging blank to load on a large scale. The powder drop alone is a very time consuming and slow process which results in higher than normal powder waste due to the restrictive casing size. They are also very susceptible to casing crush during the crimping stage, which seals the powder into a damaged casing = more waste. We stopped loading our in-house .22LR blank over a decade ago when the U.S. demand evaporated. Our current German manufacturing facility is being challenged with local regulatory restrictions on the export of this blank to the U.S., thus causing a significant shortage in supply. We are not certain when this drought will lift given the current geopolitical climate.
March 2026: Does Illinois Require It's Citizens to Possess a FOID To Purchase Blank Ammunition??
This has been a long-discussed topic with our customers and FINALLY, here is the answer in very simple form: YES - regardless of intent or purpose, and regardless if blank ammunition has been purchased within Illinois without a FOID before.
Only the US Coast Guard is exempt from purchasing blank ammunition within Illinois without a FOID card.

May 1, 2025: Our .223 HOLLYWOOD BLANK HAS RETURNED
Returning after a three year brass shortage, the popular favorite known as the "HOLLYWOOD BLANK", is our motion picture version of the military M200A1 long case blank. Designed to function in AR-15 .223/5.56mm rifle platforms which have been professionally and permanently modified to fire this blank ammunition using an INTERNAL blank adapter. This blank can be used in a rifle platform with NO blank-adapter; however, each shot must be hand-cycled. AVAILABLE in FULL LOAD or HALF LOAD
